My Family

Me: Good morning Lord. Thank you for waking me this morning and for this new and beautiful morning. Thank you for the clear blue sky, the birds singing and the abundance of life and growth around us. I love you Lord.

Lord: Good morning son, thank you for joining us this morning, and for your company. We love you too.

My dear children, you are my family, and I love you with all my being. Within my family, you are secure and are able to grow into the full stature of manhood I intended for you. My family is large, you have lots of brothers and sisters and I want you to enjoy their company too. Encourage one another with the wisdom I shall give you. Look after the younger members of my family, and respect those I have blessed with wisdom and knowledge. Support one another in all you do, and above all pass on the blessing.

Many of your brothers and sisters were lost in sin, but they are now found. They have not yet fully experienced the joy and security of family life. Embrace them in love, show them the love we all have for each other. As you embrace them in love, give them the space they need to grow strong in me. Let them make mistakes, even as I let you make mistakes. Correct them in love, do not reject them even though they fall. All mankind falls and needs to be lifted up, and dusted down to continue on the walk.

Winning the race is not about coming in first, as most people believe, it's about completing the course and finishing the tasks set before you. I would rather you arrived late, either on the arm of someone else, or supporting a brother, than not to arrive at all.

I am not selective about who I call, because I want all men and women everywhere to come to me. Therefore you must not be selective in showing my love to all your brothers and sisters in me. Many will be 'outside your class' in both directions. They are all your brothers and sisters and in my kingdom there is no class. All are equal before me; all are saved by my grace alone. No one has earned their way, or paid their passage. Jesus is crucial in the process because the Cross is the doorway into my family.

Children, be in harmony, one with another. Let the love you observe between the three persons of God be your pattern, and copy us, that love may abound, and give you all the bond that cannot be broken. I love you.

Feed my Sheep

2010

Lord: Hold on to the promises I give you. Re-read and absorb the Word I give, for it is meat to the hungry and vision to the blind.

Keep Jesus at the centre. Do not fall into the trap of letting thoughts of big meetings beguile you. I am calling people in ones and twos. Remember Jesus said, "When two or three gather together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." It is in the twos and threes that my kingdom is nourished. Society is not made up of villages and towns; it is made up of small family units. It is these family units, working together, that make communities, and communities joining together that make up society. I want to work in small family units.

Do not despise the small things. Feed my sheep, and care for my people. As they begin to come together and meet for worship and fellowship, encourage the gifts I am giving, and give space to those whom I am calling into ministries within the family of the church. Every member of the family must be equally valued and encouraged to grow in grace. As you have contact with, and encourage these small groups, become the links between the groups and develop a network of relationships, to link my family together.

Feed my lambs. There will be occasions when those young in me, will come for instruction and encouragement. Share your story and all that I have shown you in your life. Open my Word together and bring them to me in prayer together. Just as a child learns about life by watching and copying those around him, so my lambs will learn by your example. If your life is Jesus centred, then they too will learn to focus on Him.

I delight to see my people focused on Jesus and embracing all those who come to me. I am not interested in what labels people attach to themselves or others. Never ask "What denomination are you?" or "Where do you fellowship?" Learn to recognise when people belong to Me, and love them as family. Know this: All members of my family, make up the church, and are to become the bride of Christ. Share this with my people.

Walk with me in the garden

Me:
Good Morning Lord. Thank you for waking me this morning, and for giving us this new day, with all it's beauty and excitement. I love you, dear Lord.

Lord: Thank you for joining us this morning, and for being a part of this fellowship. We love you too. Yes, I take great delight in painting the sky each morning, and I allow some privileged people to look at my picture, before it moves on to become something different. You never see anything the same twice. Sometimes the changes are dramatic like the difference between spring and autumn or high summer and the snow. Other times the changes are more subtle, like the opening of a single flower or subtle shades of light or sound. A view will change with the company of a loved one, or with a mood. The sun may be hidden behind a black cloud, but it is still shining. The birds may be quiet, but they are still there. Delight in each day and savour the beauty of each passing moment. As you enjoy each day, tread carefully so that you too will add beauty and tranquility.

Each day since the beginning of creation, I have painted the dawn and coloured the sunset. No two have ever been the same. Many are the sunrises no human eye has seen, yet each one was painted and created for man to enjoy, and in it to see my glory and my hand at work. For more than six thousand years I have worked, so that you, my beloved, should come to this day, and join the family circle we enjoy in eternity. My purposes for you were laid down before ever I formed the earth or put the sun in the sky. While all was still and dark, before ever I spoke the Word of creation, I knew your beginning and your end, and I loved you. Nothing in all creation, or beyond, and there is a beyond! nothing can separate you from me, for I have spoken, and my Word is eternal.

Walk in the way I have set before you, and turn not to the right, or to the left. Follow the lead I give you and keep me always in sight. I do not run on ahead of you, I am always there for you, but follow, do not try and lead, for as soon as you 'go it alone' you take your eyes off me. Keep your eyes fixed on Me, and I will show you the wonders of what I have created for you to enjoy.

As you look and behold, as you listen and understand, you will find your seeing and your listening becomes worship in its purest form. My desire is that your worship of me should be from your heart and lips, not second hand. I do not want your printed words, but the words your heart shouts out to me. I want the song that is in your heart, to be sung using your vocal chords and your lips. I love you my child, with all my heart. Walk with me in the garden.

Jesus at the Centre

2010

Me: Good Morning Lord, Thank you for waking me this morning and for a good nights sleep. I Love you.

Lord: Good morning Son, Welcome to our session of praise this morning. (Time of praise and worship and a reading from John 6 25-59)

Me: Lord, what must we do, to be doing the works that God requires?

Lord: The work God requires of all of you is the same as it always was, that you believe in the one he has sent. The Gospel of Jesus is the centre. (John 6.21)

Before you can come into the centre of my will, before you can even creep into the corner of my throne room you must have the name of Jesus, my beloved son, written on your heart. In order for the name of Jesus to be written on your heart you need to take the Word, that's Jesus, and take him into yourself. Some simplify that truth in the words, ask Jesus into their lives. It is that simple but the truth of what that simple step does is profound. To receive Jesus into your life is like taking a mouthful of food and chewing on it, with every chew you get more flavour and more nourishment. The symbolism of Jesus as My Word, and the Bread of Life, is not accidental. The Word, my word needs to be listened to, taken in, chewed over and digested. In exactly the same way you take food into your bodies, so you must take, eat and digest the Word of God. As you absorb and digest the Word of God in Jesus, you will find the desire to be more like Jesus. In order to be like Jesus you must take his life into yourself. The life of every living creature is in the blood, so taking the life of Jesus into your being is to have his blood flowing in your veins. When my Son was crucified on the Cross of Calvary, His precious life giving blood was shed. It flowed from his side and He died. It was through this act of dying and shedding his blood that you and all men and women find salvation. Take his Life into you. like drinking a cup of wine helps the food go down, so you need to take the life of Jesus into you to make the Word of God live. DO NOT make the mistake of worshipping the elements of bread and wine. This was never the Lords intention. He wanted, that whenever we shared a meal together with those who believe in Jesus, you remember that every Word He spoke, and every drop of blood he shed, was for you, and to treasure and nurture the Word of salvation in your hearts and lives. It is a sadness to me that this very simple illustration of the truth has in itself become a matter of ritual and even worship. That is not my intention. A ritual looses its potency and soon becomes a stumbling block when those who partake, forget, or do not fully understand the meaning. Yes I know the words of the Communion rite contain all the teaching needed, but because it has become a thing you do, even that washes over people without going in. I want my children to worship Jesus and to believe in him and in what he has done for their salvation, not because they like the ritual of eating a sliver of paste or having a sip of wine.

Martin, when you lead my people in the Eucharist, I want you to share this meal in a new and living way. Let all those who love Jesus partake. For those who don't know him or love him, it is better they do not pretend.

Those who claim that the Eucharist is central to Anglican or Catholic worship, have totally missed the point. It is not to be the centre at all. Jesus is the only centre in the Christian walk, and you should worship Him, not any symbol or rite. The Eucharist is only a symbol to help you understand that truth. The established Churches must re-focus and re-centre if they are to survive. If Jesus is not in the centre, they are lost, and are of no use in this revival.

John 6:53-56 (NIV)
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.

Me: Lord, does that mean we shouldn't have Communion Services?

Lord: No, that is not what I am saying. Jesus instituted Communion to be a help to you, only He intended it to be as the Christian family came together to share a meal together, a remembrance of Him, and all that he achieved on the Cross. He made no rules about children not receiving, or of the elements becoming anything more than a symbol. It is as you receive Jesus and His Word, and as you take His life blood into your system, that you become more like Him. This can just as easily be done without the symbols. The rite of communion is not magic! It is supposed to be an aid, nothing more.

My message to you and to my Church today is simple, Jesus is the Centre.
