Stand and be Counted for Me

Lord: As with the kings of Israel and Judah in the decades moving up to the exile, the problem with the nations today is outright rebellion against Me. Yes, even at the highest level there is deliberate disobedience to My commands. Even in the churches there is compromise and rebellion, as more and more people try to introduce practices and polices that contravene My most sacred law. The efforts made, to introduce acceptance of practices that are unacceptable to Me, is very subtle. Satan knows that to just suggest such practices would be rejected by any, even nominal, believer. However, by introducing laws into the secular world, it becomes impossible for people of high moral principals to hold their views within the law. That is why children of My Kingdom must stand for what is right, and fiercely resist this constant chipping away of moral standards. To do this, the false assumption, that there is no God and therefore no absolutes, must be destroyed, especially within the Church itself. Do not be beguiled into thinking that all who attend church, in any denomination, are believers; they are not. There are many in every congregation who attend church and belong, for many reasons other than faith. Be open to them by all means, and welcome them and nurture them into My Kingdom, but be aware of them and where they are in faith. For many of them are now sitting on the synods and councils that shape the policy and direction of the church.

All Church policy and direction MUST be led and directed by My Holy Spirit, who always points to Jesus. Jesus is the rock on which the Gospel is founded. Scripture is the guide book and reference. Any movement away from Jesus and Scripture, any ignoring of the leading of My Holy Spirit, leads to disaster.

Children, I want My Church back. Wake up out of your slumber and reject the false gods you are now following. Reject the leadership of those who are leading you down pathways of secularism and sin, that will lead to more sin. My way for My church is pure and holy, and is firmly founded in love, on the commandments I have set in stone. The ten commandments are, and always will be, the foundation stone of righteousness. The assimilation of the practices of other religions and the worship of other gods is totally unacceptable. The purpose of reaching out to other religions is not to assimilate them, but to turn their followers to Jesus and to Me. Assimilation is the crime I had to punish Israel for, in the days of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. It is the sole reason for their downfall, that they followed other gods, and they broke the first commandments, placing the worship of the works of their hands or minds before Me.

I am God, I am jealous for My name, but I am not an ogre that seeks to destroy or pull down. When my creation, that's you, follow in My ways, it prospers and flourishes. A straightforward reading of the Word I have given you in Holy Scripture, will clearly show you the enormous lengths I have gone to, to try and keep my chosen people in the centre of my will. It shows the contrast between those who were righteous and those who did evil. My will, and I have every right to expect this of my creation, is that all should be righteous, because it is for the good and prosperity of mankind.

Children, I am calling you, My church, to to stand and be counted, to stand firm against evil and injustice, and to hold firmly to the Cross of Jesus as you proclaim the Good News. Speak the truth boldly, for it is truth which will destroy the lie. Turn the hearts of My people back to Me, that I may once again establish my prosperity and freedom upon My people. I love you.

The Law of the LORD is Perfect

Lord:  Today I want to talk to you about Psalm 19.

The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;

night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;

no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,

their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, 

like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

The law of the LORD is perfect, 
refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, 
making wise the simple.
The precepts of the LORD are right, 
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant, 
giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is pure, 
enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm,
and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold, 
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, 
than honey from the honeycomb.
By them your servant is warned;    
in keeping them there is great reward.
But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Lord: It was me who inspired David to write the psalms. In a way it was his way of journaling. As I gave him revelation, he wrote it down. As I filled his heart with praise, he wrote it down and sang it with all his might. The praise he expressed to me has delighted me and has inspired countless thousands down the last three thousand years. They delighted me because they came from his heart. He didn't use the words of others but expressed what he felt honestly. He was also accurate in many of his statements because it was my inspiration that revealed these thing to him.

David was already fascinated by, and appreciative of, the wonders of the creation around him. In his early years as a shepherd boy he would lie out in the fields and hillsides gazing up at the stars. I showed him many wonders in the heavens: shooting stars, comets, clusters and constellations. He accepted simply and without question that I had made it all for him. For him this cosmic show was creation shouting about how wonderful I am, declaring what a good job I had made of the heavens. David was not an ignorant man; in his day he was respected for his wide knowledge of the natural order of things, and all men respected his faith and devotion to me. He knew well that if the sun was a few million miles further from the earth, life on earth would begin to freeze and that if it was nearer, all things would be burned up. He didn't work it out or speak of it in scientific terms, but he knew the truth because I told him. He could not hear the planets and stars singing to me, yet he heard their voice as they declared my glory.

In acknowledging me as the Creator, and observing the incredible order I have built in to creation, David began to see the laws that govern all things, and the perfection of them, and his soul took comfort and was refreshed. He realised that the unmovable statutes I built into creation were absolute and trustworthy. Recognising them, and abiding by them, is wisdom for all men, even the simple can understand and be wise by trusting in them.

Holding on to my laws, and living by the commands I have given mankind, is a joy to man's heart because my ways and my commands make living a joy. Through keeping my commands, man lives safely and at peace with me and his fellow man. All this helps mankind to come into the light I give that gives light to the inner eyes and provides revelation and understanding. All of the laws and decrees I make are both lasting and righteous, and all mankind should honour them, and fear me.

Fear of me is healthy. All men should fear me. But it's not the fear of someone who will harm you or take your life, both of which I could do in an instant, but awe and wonder at my greatness, and respect for the fact I know all things and can do anything. I am great, while man is tiny, like a speck of dust on the scales. If I did not love you so, I would have blotted mankind out of existence long ago.

I want you to stand in awe of me and 'fear' me. I want you to keep my decrees, statutes and precepts, because they are worth more than all the gold and precious gems in the world. No wealth or human position of power can compare with the least of my commands, and the rewards for staying in the centre of my will and keeping my commands are greater than anything else for they are life to you!

Jesus knew all this, which is why He lived his life the way He did and taught the things He taught, for like me He longs for all mankind to hold on to the laws, promises and statutes I have made, and find life. David didn't know Jesus by name, because in terms of time Jesus had not yet come, but he held on to my promise of a redeemer, and was saved through faith. You have Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Trust in him and stand firm on my commands, and find life. I love you.

Repentance and Forgiveness

Me:    Good morning Lord. Thank you for waking me this morning and for forgiving me my sins, which I confess before you. Lord I love you and I don't want to sin, so thank you for always being there for me, to forgive me. I love you Lord.

Lord:    Good morning son. Stay close to me and let my forgiveness envelope you. The only answer to sin is Jesus. Walk with him and be always seeking to be like him and leave the sin to me.

It's sin and forgiveness I want to talk about with you today. All of mankind is born into, and steeped in, sin. It is a fact of life that none can escape. For a long time in history mankind did what seemed good to him, without reference to me, including the people I had chosen for my own. As you read their history you see how they oscillated between those who did what was right, and those who did what was evil. While I did notice and deal with individuals, both good and bad, I dealt mainly with 'the nation', the wider group. Unfortunately the people did not listen to me and interpreted their selection as a nation wrongly and put themselves above the Law I had laid down. This putting yourself above the law soon means that even the law maker is put aside, and the people forgot me, and all I had done for them.

The only way to bring them back was to knock their feet from under them, so they fell. For generations they had been a wandering people with no land to call their own. I gave them their land on condition they followed me. When they went their own way and refused to heed my call through the prophets, I took away their land and once again they were a landless people, first of all living on the land that I had given them, but paying from their produce to foreign kings and rulers, then being taken from the land and planted in a strange place. It took them nearly 80 years to turn back to me and cry out in their distress. The problem was now that they were so paranoid about turning away again and losing what they had regained, that they cloaked the law I gave them, which should have given them freedom, with petty rules and regulation that bound the people in a new kind of bondage. But all this did not deal with man's tendency to sin. What could I do?

I had long planned to send my Son, and this is what I did; Jesus came and turned the hearts of ordinary individuals back to me. He was not dealing with nations or even tribes, but with the individual. The great appeal of the Good News was that it offered a once-for-all-time solution to the age-old problem of sin. For the first time in their history, the people were not dependent on their kings and leaders or even the religious leaders to repent on their behalf. Every man, woman and child could come to Jesus and receive forgiveness, know the love of God for themselves and be set free. No wonder the early believers were full of joy!

This was once again spoilt by institutionalising the Church, making it the religion of the empire and forcing its laws, most of which were totally man made and nothing to do with me, upon a people who just wanted to choose Jesus for themselves and live their lives without interference from others. Once again the 'Way to God' had been hijacked and the people who wanted to walk the way had been enslaved. Sin abounds under these conditions.

I continued to work among my people, setting many free. I even worked through institutions at times, until the leaders or godless men realised that congregations were being set free. In every generation I have provided revivals, renewals and have raised up prophets and teachers, many of whom were persecuted and even killed, just like the prophets of old. However, even through the worst times of persecution I have kept the truth alive and have kept a remnant. Because I am dealing with individuals and not whole nations' I have often been tempted to abandon nations to their own sin. But in your day I am calling my Church, the individuals I have saved through My Son Jesus, to pray for the nations. Yes, to come before me and confess the sins of kings, governments and nations, because I have already made a promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, that:

'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'(NIV)

That is a two-part promise, a covenant. The first part is yours:

'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways...'

The second part is mine:

'...then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'

I am now calling my people, the Church, those who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ, to 'humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways...' I am also asking them to pray for their leaders and the nations, because their leaders and the nations are not yet ready to humble themselves before me. Pray, believing that as you pray, I will work in your land. I promise that I will hear your prayer and I will forgive their sins and heal their land, your sins and your land.

The authority I have given to Jesus as My beloved Son, is still very firmly in His hands. No man, or ruler, or nation, can take that away from Him. All mankind is answerable to Him. Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, and all in the other religions, even the atheist and the pagan are answerable to Him, because I have declared it so.

So, let all the individuals that are saved by the blood of Jesus stand together and pray for their leaders and their nations. Let them confess, and turn their backs to sin and wickedness, and I will forgive them and heal their land.
