A Healing Relationship

Me: Good morning Lord. Thank you for waking me this morning and for this new day. Thank you for talking with me this morning and for being my friend. I love you Lord.

Lord: Good morning son. Thank you for joining us this morning and for spending time sharing your thoughts with us. We love you too.

I want to continue with the theme of healing today, because the total health of my children is important to me and to them. The need for healing, whether physical, mental or spiritual, arises from a state of dis-ease. My desire is that all men, women and children should live in total peace with Me. I want you all to be close to me in every way.

I provide all you need through the wonderful creation I have made for you, and without exception, the most healthy and life-sustaining foods are the natural ones I provide for you. Every plant, root and twig that grows, is placed on the Earth for a specific purpose. Man does not yet fully understand the reasons I made every plant, because his mind is clouded by whether it is poisonous or edible! There is a huge world of plants out there to be prayerfully explored, to discover their place in the whole picture of life.

While speaking of vegetation, in spite of there being more eco-friendly, green organisations, and wider awareness of environmental issues, man does not have the oneness with his environment that I intended for him. There is still much to learn about the balance of nature, and where he fits into the whole picture.

I did not make man to be just one of the many animals that roam the Earth. I made man to tend the garden I have made, to love it, to care for it and to subdue it. The term 'subdue it' was not intended to mean exploit it and eventually destroy it, but to learn its secrets and tend it, so that all creation can maintain and continue in the harmony I intended for it.

Every element that is part of the Earth, has uses for man that he has not even begun to understand. All things can be used for the well-being of creation and the deepening of man's understanding of the world around him, but not while greed, envy, lust and exploitation continue to destroy the harmony I made. While mankind is not at peace with his fellow man, how can he ever be at peace with his environment? If he is not at peace with his fellow man or his environment, how can he ever be at peace with himself? If man is not at peace with himself, how can he ever be at peace with his Creator?

So, you should be beginning to see that healing is not just the straightforward putting right of a chemical or material disorder, but a complicated mix, untangling a web of dis-ease with himself, his fellow man, this environment and his God!

These disorders man is beginning to understand, he thinks can be dealt with by bombarding them with chemicals and drugs. However, because of his limited understanding, many of the treatments he uses are like taking a shotgun to the head, to cure a headache! I want man to discover the answers to the world's sicknesses, but I also want him to fit it into the whole picture. Let me give you an example:

It is now a known and accepted fact that a personal tragedy or crisis can trigger certain sicknesses and diseases. It is also known that certain chemicals and drugs can help with them. So these drugs are prescribed, without reference to the first cause, tragedy or crisis. Therefore a battle ensues, as the cause continues to disrupt life and cause dis-ease, while the drugs fight the symptoms. Alongside of this battle are the unseen side-effects of too much of the drug, causing other problems, which can be immediate, or may not manifest themselves for some time. When the drugs have done their work, the body may be "healed", but the pain of  the cause is still there, like a wild beast waiting in the dark to pounce.

The cause may be more obvious and simple, such as a cut or a break while working, or a fall while walking. Injuries are usually easy to treat and straightforward to heal. But not always! My Son Jesus once healed a paralysed man as found in Mark chapter 2.

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralysed man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven.

Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, Why does this fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone? Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk'? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins . . . . He said to the paralytic, I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home. He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, We have never seen anything like this! NIV1984

The reason I refer you to this passage, is that two things were happening here. First of all, a man was brought who was paralysed. He needed healing! However, although it was not spoken of, Jesus saw that the cause of this man's paralysis was sin. Not just any old sin, but a specific sin related to the injury. His friends rolled back the roof and lowered him into the room where Jesus was. Were they housebreakers by profession? Did this man sustain his injury while making a quick getaway from a job that went wrong? The details don't matter; what does matter is that sin was the cause of a physical injury. Jesus dealt with the sin and opened the way for physical healing!

The second thing was that Jesus was making a point, to his critics and followers alike, that He had the right on Earth to forgive sins, and that sin and sickness are closely related.
   
In that account in Mark you see how all things are inter-related. Sin leads to injury, and guilt helps prevent the man from either being healed or getting the treatment he needs. Imagine trying to explain to a doctor that your injuries were sustained as a result of crime/sin! Faith, not of the paralytic, but of the friends, brings him to the feet of Jesus. Forgiveness from Jesus for the sin is the key to his healing. Facing up to your sin and bringing it to Jesus is the first step to salvation.

For those who want to be like Jesus and want to be used by Me in the ministry of healing, the first thing to remember is that all healing and wholeness comes from Me. You are not the healer, only the channel I have chosen to use. Therefore stay close to me, connected to the source of healing, the Holy Spirit! Secondly, as you stay close, listen to me, stay tuned to My guidance. I will show you what you need to know, and what you might need to pass on, such as the need for forgiveness, or a change in lifestyle, "Go and sin no more," or if there is intervention from demons! When you pray for the sick, let Jesus pray through you. When I tell you to lay hands on the sick, speak the word of authority I give you, which will banish the sickness.

Continue as my people, to learn and understand the complex interaction going on in creation, which makes for harmony and oneness, and draw on our peace and oneness. Let love abound. We love you.

My Sheep Hear My Voice

Me: Good morning Lord. Thank you for waking me this morning and for this new day. Thank you for listening to me as I make my prayers to you, and for being a God who hears and answers prayers. I love you Lord.

Lord: Good morning son. Thank you for joining us this morning. Of course I hear your prayers. I hear every sound that the world makes, from the sound of a butterfly's wings, and the beating of the heart of an ant, to the roar of the sea beating against the rocks and the sound of the mountains falling! Nothing escapes me. Every time a child of mine cries out for help, I act.

Every person on the Earth, I have made. All are my children. With some I am well pleased, and for others I grieve. Since the dawn of time I have made my ways clear to mankind and I have written clearly upon the heart of every man, woman and child, a sense of right and wrong. Even when Satan deceives and hides the truth from someone, I am able to speak truth into their hearts. Some hear and respond to me, and I am able to act for them. Others hear my words in their hearts and choose, yes, choose, to ignore me, and turn back to the ways of darkness and sin.

My word to all men is to do justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly before your God. In the world today there are many who know me and do what is right in my eyes. They feed the hungry, heal the sick, and bring justice to those who are without advocate. There are also many, who do not know me by name, but who, because they have heard in their hearts what is right, act righteously, justly and with mercy and love. I have their reward prepared for them as well.

There are also many who know what is right and wrong, and who choose the pathway of selfishness, greed and violence. The suppress and exploit the weak and the poor, and show no mercy or generosity to others. Because of their ways and the choice they have made, I turn the light of my face from them. That does not mean that I am unaware of their deeds, nor does it mean I have given up on them, for I long for them to turn to me and be saved! However those who resist me, and keep their face turned away from me, preferring the path of darkness and sin, have no place in my Kingdom and their names do not appear in the Lamb's Book of Life.

At the time of Exile, I did everything possible to turn the hearts of the disobedient back to me. I rebuked them and brought calamity upon them. I loved them and gave them another chance, but they stubbornly refused to come back to me. Therefore I had to let them go. Oh how that hurt me, for I loved them so much and still do.

Down all the ages things haven't changed. Time and again I do everything I can to turn men back to me. In every generation there are those who respond and do what is right, but there are also others who do not turn to me but listen to the lies of Satan and do evil. My heart still aches for those who choose the path of darkness and to walk away from me, and I am always looking out for them to return to me. Even when they are far from me, drowning in their sin, I hear their heartbeat, and I watch for the slightest flicker of light in in the darkness.

Today, yes even today, there are those who respond to me and do what is right. And there are those, many in high places, highly respected by worldly institutions, who do not love justice, mercy or peace. They do not walk in my ways or do my will. I am bringing about calamity for them, for all the things in which they trust are crumbling and falling to dust. But still they will not turn to me!

You my children are to love the justice I bring. Love mercy and bless those around you. Do what you know is right in my eyes. Walk humbly before me offering your love, praise and worship, remembering that, but for my grace, you too would be still walking in darkness and in the grip of Satan.

I call all the world, the righteous and the unrighteous, to repentance. Repent for all the sin of the nations, for injustice, violence, oppression and war. Repent for intolerance and lack of understanding. Repent for prejudice and blindness. Turn to me and seek my face, that I may stretch out my hand and heal the nation, and raise you up again to walk in righteousness and peace before me. I love you.

Suffering - Sin

Me: Good morning Lord. Thank you for waking me this morning and for this new day. Thank you that this is a day you have made specially for us to enjoy. Help us to stay in the centre of you will, that in all we do we may please you. I love you Lord.

Lord: Good morning Martin. Thank you for joining, and walking with us, this morning. We love you too.

 Today I want to talk to you more about my love. There are many who choose not to believe in me, because they say they cannot reconcile a God of love with the suffering they see around them. Oh, how Satan has blinded their eyes! It is because I love mankind so much, that the full effect of man's sin hasn't destroyed him already! Suffering is the direct result of sin. When mankind chose, using the free will I gave him out of love, to disobey the only command I gave him in the garden, he opened the way for sin and suffering to take over. It was a simple case of cause and effect. By disobeying my command not to eat the fruit of that tree, and that tree alone, man chose to take the consequences of his action.

At that time in his immaturity, he was not ready to deal with, and use, the flood of knowledge, that came upon him as a direct result of his action. When your children are young you do not allow them to play with certain tools or pieces of equipment, as they could be dangerous to life or health. As they grow and mature, these things can be introduced to them and they can be taught to use them properly and safely. The fruit of that tree was forbidden to them for that reason. I did not intended to forbid it to them forever! If I had intended that, I would not have placed the tree there in the first place!

There are lots of things I have placed in the world for the use of mankind. Plants and berries, rocks and trees, crystals and gems. Some of them are give to make the earth beautiful, because in my love for man, I want this special environment I have made for him, to be beautiful and pleasant to live in. Man has, in his immaturity, placed the wrong value on many, things and has misused the gifts I have given him, finding uses for them that I never intended.

Many plants, nuts and berries are attractive and appealing, but are poisonous if eaten. That is because I did not create them for man to eat. Some have medicinal properties, or contain natural chemicals that can be used as antidotes or for healing ointments. Certain metals and gems have been given great value and are used as currency, to be hoarded and owned by a few, when their real purpose has yet to be discovered, and in some cases never will be now, because it is too valuable to be wasted on scientific research. The misuse of these materials and plants that I have generously provided has given rise to greed, which in turn has led to wars, and both greed and war lead to suffering.

Suffering also arises from ignorance, because in his arrogance man does not seek me for the answers to sickness, injury or need. Daily you can see the results of mankind not listening to me. Daily, men and women make pronouncements about things they know nothing about, and in many cases their 'authoritative' statements cause others to suffer.

Many work in areas they have no feeling for, or love of. Lawyers, who do not care for right and justice, but are lining their own pockets. Bankers, who have no interest in the needs of their customers and investors, only in their profit and bonuses. Politicians, who have no care at all for their constituents, but seek their own glory. In every walk of life people suffer in jobs they hate and are ill suited to do. They suffer because they are trapped by the greed of others. These things are not of my making; they are the results of sin and greed.

My love for mankind is so great, that I have not totally destroyed him many times! My love is so great that I put in place, for man to use, everything that he needs, to be fully provided for and for the earth itself to be self sustaining. It is man, in his immaturity, that has abused and misused all I have provided for him. But he doesn't need to do this. If only he would stop turning his back on me and just acknowledge the miracle of creation and the wonderful provision I have made for him. If only he would stop from his busy-ness, trying to get rich, and begin to explore the riches I have provided for the good of all mankind.

I call on my people everywhere, to stop seeking after mammon and seek first the kingdom of your God. Seek the righteousness that I desire of you. Instead of looking inward, open your eyes to those around you. Instead of opening your mouths in slander and curses, bless those around you and wish them well. Tell them of me and of my love. Pursue all that makes for peace and goodwill. Then, and only then, all the riches that most men seek, will be added to you. I am the Lord who created you and loves you.
