More re-imaginings

Me: Good morning Lord. Thank you for walking with me this morning and for this new day. Help me to serve you Lord in all I do and to praise you with my whole heart. I love you Lord.

Lord: Good morning Martin. Thank you for joining us this morning and for your good company. Yes, I say good because we do enjoy your company, and our conversations with you, while we walk. We love you.

The word I gave you on your last Sunday at Stithians, I want to apply more generally today. When you left the parish I intended that word for the congregation gathered there. Today I want to speak it to a wider congregation.

Yesterday I spoke to you about reaching out to those who had forgotten their commitment to me, whose faith had become buried in decades of neglect. That is re-thinking, or re-imagining evangelism.

On 21st March 2010, I said through you, to the congregations of your three churches, at Stithians:

Put Jesus in the Centre.

Read the New Testament and reveal what it has to say about the Church Jesus built, and compare it with what we, man, has built.

The time has come when tinkering and re ordering is not enough. We have to re imagine, not using man-made structures as our template, but Jesus.

Imagine a church without buildings.

Imagine a church without clergy.

Imagine a church without liturgy.

Imagine a church run not by a PCC but by prayer!

These were not words to be brushed aside and forgotten, but were meant as a stimulus to get the churches moving towards the church I want. Only a few have taken it seriously, but are finding it hard to think big against the tide of institutional conservatism!

There are so many different ministries within my church which need to be opened up with new imaginings.

All forms of evangelism, and the use of all forms of media and communication. Being where the people are and being known there. Yes, even in the chat rooms, on facebook and all the other types of twitting and cheeping!

One of the things that really surprises souls on arrival in the Kingdom, is the variety of music. In Heaven we love music as a way of expressing ourselves, but it's not at all like church music! Oh, we have that as well, but the main expression of praise, gladness and joy, is much more up-beat and noisy! Much more foot tapping and hand-raising type music!

Art speaks to the heart as well, and is a powerful form of evangelism and teaching. Actions also speak louder than words, and one act of love in Jesus' name is more effective than a thousand sermons for bringing people into the Kingdom.

I want my Church to be full of joy and for their joy to be infectious. The world makes a big show of being jolly and happy, when underneath souls are crying in pain and loneliness. My joy, which the world cannot give is deep inside and permeates the whole being.

I want my Church to dare to believe My Word, the Bible. I gave it to you to be the central pillar of truth and teaching, but you have listened to the voice of the deceiver and, without realising it, have come to believe that there is no truth in it. The Bible stands as truth. It is the only rock in your age that does not shift. Jesus is my Word, The Bible is all about him from the beginning of Genesis to the end of Revelation.

Bring Him back into the centre, where he belongs, and turn your eyes upon Him. As you gaze at Jesus you will see what I see, a hungry world of hurting men and women who need me. You will not see one single spire or roof fund. You won't see one single PCC meeting, synod or assembly of deacons; you will see a harvest field ripe and ready for the reapers. As you look for evangelists and pastors you will not find the big names. What you will see is a fellowship of believers, where all are evangelists and all are pastors to each other, where the sick are prayed for together and where my Holy Spirit flows.

Pray for the traditional pastors and evangelists, that they will also catch the vision of shared mission and shared ministry. I want you and them to live Jesus every moment of every day. I want you to be Jesus in the home, in the workplace, in the schools and universities, in government and all the armed and civilian services. I want Jesus in the banks and in the stock exchange, so that I can rebuild  and recreate your society to be just, fair, prosperous and Jesus centred.

You may initially say this all seems like pie in the sky. But the world, mankind will not see the difference Jesus can make unless YOU, who are Jesus in the world, are where the changes need to be. Unless you are there to show the way and speak My Word.

Stretch your imagination and think My thoughts. Re-imagine what it means to be a Christian. Put Jesus back where He belongs, in the centre.

Remember, there is not a place on earth, not a single person, not a trade or industry, not a colour or a creed, where I do not want to be. All the earth is mine and I want it back, because I love the lost and I feel the hurts of the damaged and the pain of the lonely. Help them to reach out and touch me, that I may heal your land and build My Kingdom.

My Word Stands Forever

Do not be afraid to hold onto, and to proclaim biblical truth. My Word stands forever even though kingdoms pass away and the mighty fall to the ground and return to the dust. My Word never changes, never goes 'out of date' and is always relevant in every generation. It was through my Word that all things came into being. The only 'big bang' ever heard in creation was my spoken word breaking the silence.

I desire that my children in every generation, look with their physical eyes and see all that I have made and are glad. I purposefully made it clear that I had made all things so that mankind would not waste his time seeking for the origin of life amongst the physical laws of the universe. The origin of all life is me. I invented the so called, laws of physics, and man hasn't even scratched the surface of understanding them yet, for his mind has been blurred by the pursuit of his own fantasy. Believe me when I tell you, the science fiction that man has invented and spends millions of pounds chasing is nothing at all compared to the truth and the real science that is out there to discover, if only he would turn to me and ask me. For who better to teach him, than the original designer?

The time has come for standing firm on the Word I gave man. In it you will find all sorts of clues to start you on your quest. In these days I am revealing these clues to my people and exciting their God given imagination. Unlike the present 'theories' of the world, these inspired imaginations of my people are not fantasy, but a rediscovery of the truth.

I say rediscovery because in those early days when the world was young and Adam was young, we talked a lot about all I had made. I showed him many things that the generations since have long forgotten. You didn't really think that language, poetry, music and song, just appeared from the ether did you? these gifts I planted in the garden of man's mind. The ability to farm, produce metal from the rocks, and calculate the movement of the stars, were all learned from me and passed down from father to son. Much of the knowledge and skills I gave to Adam and his sons has been lost to man through time and the flood. Most of the flights of fantasy the modern scientific world persues could be avoided, if mankind would humble himself and accept he doesn't know everything. If any man honestly asks me any question, in his field of research, I will gladly point him in the right direction to find the answer. This applies to all fields including art, music, and caring. Whatever you need, be it inspiration, knowledge or ability, I will gladly provide to all who love me and seek my help.

Coming to me and discovering that I am the only God, and that I created all things, is not dull or boring; it is exciting and fulfilling and best of all is eternal. I love my children and I get excited when they discover new things. I laugh with them and I cry with them. I long for them to ask, and receive. I am not far away, I am close at hand. I am not deaf to your requests, but hear every word you speak, even those uttered in the silence of your heart. Oh my people, let me be your teacher and guide. Let me show you the wonders of all that I have made, and be amazed. I love you.

The Harvest is Ready

A time is coming, and is near at hand when my spirit will sweep not just through this land, but through the whole world. The harvest is near and I am even now employing labourers for the harvest field. I require those who will devote their hearts to me and listen to my voice. I require those who will faithfully do the things I command them. I am not interested in denominational ties, or race, or colour. I purpose to bring into my kingdom those who call themselves Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, and all the other religions of the world. Indeed even atheists, Communists and those opposed to religion will meet with my son Jesus and be attracted to Him. Any who call upon the name of Jesus for help will be able to receive full salvation through Him. Jesus is the key to the revival that is to come. No one can come to  God except through Him. Do not be distracted by teaching that calls upon saints or angels. It is my beloved son Jesus, who has brought salvation, through the Cross. All who turn to Him will be saved. Those who need healing will find healing through the blessed name of Jesus and his name alone.

    Hold onto My Word, which points to Jesus, both Old and New Testaments. Remember also that I made man to worship me, and I love to hear the praises of my people. I join in their praises and love them. I ride on their songs and music as if on the wings of an Eagle.

    Satan cowers and shrinks back into the dark when my people praise me with all their hearts. Many of my people are held in bondage by him because they have forgotten their first love and have neglected to praise me. Set my people free, and bind up Satan, for he is a defeated foe. His end was secured by Jesus on the Cross, and the very least in the Kingdom of Heaven can banish him from their presence by calling on the blessed name of Jesus. His work is to chain up, to deceive, and to tell lies. Go forth and destroy the works of Satan with the whole truth of Jesus.

    I am raising up in this generation prophets, pastors, evangelists and teachers. Each of them needs to be covered in prayer and supported in every way, so that they may fulfil the ministry I have called them to. That support will no longer come from establishments and religious organisations, who can cut them off with out a thought or a prayer. It must come from the faithful who are listening to my voice and following my lead.

    I need every group throughout the world, who faithfully meet together, to pray, be they a house group or a congregation of the faithful. I need them to concentrate their prayers on supporting the new generation of Christian leaders I am raising up and sending out. Let them seek me, and I will guide their prayers.

    Foremost amongst your teaching must be teaching on how to hear my voice, how to read my word, and how to pray. You must encourage worship through music. However I want you to stay away from 'methods, formulas and mindless ritual'. I am real and I want our relationship to be real.

    Bless one another, as I have blessed you. Do not think that a blessing is the private domain of priests. Everyone should bless one another and be a blessing to those around them, for in doing this they are copying the Godhead. We live as a close family unit and have a perfect relationship of love. That love is a source of blessing to us and to those we touch. We would that all men and women that we have created in our image, would live in this state of pure love and harmony. Jesus taught his disciples to "Love one another as He has loved them". That is what I still require of all my children, that love abounds amongst them.

New Ministries

Me: Good Morning Father. Thank you for waking me this morning. I love you Lord.

Lord: I am moving my people into new times. Ministries will come forward and be recognised in the assemblies, that were hidden away for fear of ridicule. I am raising up a new eldership to shepherd my people. Listen to my voice, O my people, that I may show you my will and desire for you.

Read my word and ponder it. Even though it may seen a hard or difficult saying, let me show you the truth that lies as the foundation of all I say. Share the scriptures together and be encouraged, as I open the Word to you. Do not open on the Sabbath and close the book for the next six days. Let My word be a meal for every day.

Talk to others about me and relate your experiences of me. The Testimony of Jesus, that is what He is doing in your life, is indeed the Spirit of Prophecy (Rev 19.10) Do not keep the message from the young, saying, “They are too young to understand.” I tell you the truth, the young receive the Word of God with more understanding and delight, than those who have become weary with the world and cluttered by religion. Encourage the children, and receive the kingdom of heaven yourself, with the same delight they have.

Seek me with your whole heart. Spend time getting to know me. Learn to hear my voice as I speak to you in the stillness of the quiet place. Bring your requests to me, and ask out of the yearning of your hearts. Recognise that it is I, the Lord your God, who put a hunger in your heart to see the Kingdom. That desire is in every man woman and child I have ever created. It is part of being in the image of God. I placed a little of myself in every human soul. I also designed into your body mind and Spirit, a ‘hot wired’ connection to me. As soon as anyone, believer or not, cries out to me, I hear their cry, and I respond. Hunger to see the gates of heaven teeming with those who are passing through and into my presence. That is my desire.

Study of My Word, the Witness of Jesus, and Prayer, are the three legs of a stool. They are equal in importance, and together form a firm foundation for a balanced relationship with Me. Let them also be recognised as ministries within the church. All three feed the body and all three reach outside the body to draw in the unsaved.

The worship of my people is important to me. Worship brings all my children together on an equal footing. I love to hear the cry from the heart, I love to hear the sound, and smell the sweet scent, of a song of praise, that comes from the heart. I collect all your tears of repentance, and hold them close to my heart. I channel the love that pours out of you and use it to oil the wheels and spindles of revival.

I am using all sorts of media to speak the message of Jesus, and I want you to recognise them and use them too. I speak through the written word, and encourage the use of all your modern methods of placing that word in people’s hearts. Use the Web, for if that is where people are looking, it is there they must find my Word, to point them to Jesus.

I am using Inspirational Art to convey my Word. Sometimes these works of creation stand on their own and need no explanation. Enjoy their beauty and their boldness, their colour and their detail, and be quickened by my Spirit. Sometimes these works are more difficult and disturbing and need interpretation. Wait on me and do not be afraid to say: “This is what that is saying to me.” Remember I am never negative in art. I inspire truth, and sometimes that truth is disturbing, but even when I show destruction it is often a warning (Amos 7.1-6). Hear what I am saying and heed my warnings!

I am using Music. Music can still the troubled soul (1 Samuel 16.14-end). Music can also aid you, in stilling a busy mind and help you to focus. Worship songs, mood music and scripture songs can be a first class aid to learning scripture, and lifting the soul into my throne room. My servant David, wrote music for praise and worship, as well as in his despair or state of mourning. Music is different in every generation. Do not despise the music of the young. Even the music of your youth was new once, and in every generation young people find me, and express their love for me, in their kind of music. Praise me through Music.

I am using Dance, Drama, Poetry, Films, Comedy and all kinds of humour to touch, to draw, and to help people find me.

Me: In all these expressions of yourself, let them point to Jesus and bring praise to him. Let them be acts of worship, not exhibitions of self. Let all you do be done in the name of the Lord, to His praise and glory.
